When a life event happens family members may need to access money to pay for daily expenses such as bills, food or medical care. Being able to have an easy way to locate funds for these necessities is very helpful and will reduce stress levels that are already running high. Communicating the following monetary information to your loved ones will give them the power to take care of your finances if you are unable to do so short term, long term or permanently.

Bills, bills, bills. They arrive very frequently to our mailboxes or inboxes. They form mounds of paper piles and take over email messages. Typically one person in the house is assigned the daunting task of paying the bills and making sure they are paid on time. Sometimes the task is reluctantly shared by more than one person. If you are unfamiliar with how your spouse, partner or parent pays the bills and you have to assume the task for them due to a “life event” the responsibility can become very overwhelming and stressful.
